Lorson Ranch has seven separate districts. Ask which district includes your home before you apply.

You must be a Colorado registered voter and either live in that district or own taxable property there.

The official roster currently lists vacancies for the shared MD 1, 5, 6, and 7 roster and for MD 3. Confirm whether a seat is still open.

Complete a self-nomination and acceptance form. Your signature needs a witness who is an eligible Colorado elector.
Regular special-district elections are held in May of odd-numbered years.
The normal self-nomination deadline is 67 days before the election. That would be February 26, 2027. Confirm the actual deadline when the district posts its Call for Nominations.
